Your name is never revealed. Not once, not to anyone.

The most useful review of a flying school is the one written by someone still training there — and that is exactly the person with the most to lose by putting their name to it. So nobody puts their name to anything here. This page explains precisely how that works.

Your name is never revealed. Not once, not to anyone.

  • The academy can never see who you areYour review appears under a generated handle like Crosswind-5CD — never your name, never your email, never your photo. There is no way for an academy to work out which student wrote which review.
  • Nothing personal is ever publishedPhone numbers, email addresses and payment handles are stripped out automatically before a review is stored — including from your own text, so you cannot identify yourself by accident.
  • Photos are cleaned before they are uploadedAttach a fee receipt or a logbook page and the location, time and camera data are removed in your browser before the file ever leaves your phone.
  • You can withdraw at any timeDelete your review and it is gone permanently — the text, the photo and the recording with it. You do not have to ask anyone.

What we hold, and why

To stop academies posting fake five-star reviews about themselves, posting requires a Google sign-in — one account, one review per academy. That verified email is stored on our server and is visible only to the site’s moderator. It is never shown publicly, never given to an academy, and never sold or shared. That single check is the reason the reviews here are worth reading.

We would rather tell you this plainly than claim a kind of anonymity we do not provide. If a promise on this page turned out to be untrue at the moment it mattered, everything else here would be worthless.

Questions people ask before posting

Will my flying school find out I wrote a review?

No. Your review is published under a generated handle such as Crosswind-5CD. Your name, your email address and your photo are never shown to the academy, to other students, or to search engines. There is no page, no export and no API response that gives an academy a name.

Why do I have to sign in if it is anonymous?

To stop academies reviewing themselves. Without a sign-in, anyone could post fifty five-star reviews in an afternoon and the ratings here would be worth nothing. One Google account is one voice and one review per academy. Signing in is what makes the reviews worth reading — it is not how you are identified to anyone.

Who can see my email address?

Only the site’s moderator, and only from the private moderation console. It is never shown publicly, never given to an academy, never sold and never shared. We are telling you it exists rather than claiming we do not have it, because a promise that is not true is worth less than no promise at all.

What if I accidentally identify myself in what I write?

Phone numbers, email addresses and payment handles are automatically stripped from every review before it is stored — including from your own text. The account of what happened is left completely untouched; only the contact details go.

Is it safe to attach a photo of my fee receipt?

Yes. Photos are re-encoded in your browser before they are uploaded, which removes the EXIF data — the GPS coordinates, the exact timestamp and the device identifier that a phone writes into every image. Only the pixels are sent.

Can I delete my review later?

At any time, without asking anyone. Withdrawing a review permanently removes the text, the photo and the voice recording together.

I am still training there. Is it really safe to post?

This is exactly who the anonymity is built for. A cadet who is still on the course has the most to lose from being identified and the most useful information to share. Post under your handle, avoid naming individuals, and describe what happened rather than who did it — that is both safer for you and more credible to the reader.
